Purpose

Purpose: the reason for which something is done or created of for which something exists. I never understood the word purpose until a year after my son passed away and still it took me years to completely understand what that truly meant. I remember my father use to always ask my friends and I, "what is your vision"? We would all be like huh, not understanding why he asked although he would break it down we just allowed it to go through one ear and out the other. Vision: the faculty or state of being able to see; the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom. When you know your purpose the vision becomes so clear. Some people are lucky to find out their true purpose or passion at an early age, but for me it took a tragedy of losing my son to understand why I was on this earth. My purpose is to be the voice my son never had and to continually help families affected by cerebral palsy. We all have a purpose in life so it is important that you take time to yourself, meditate, pray and just listen. If you have a gut feeling and something just feels right then do it. Life is short and precious do not waste your life not living it to the fullest! Figure out your passion, find your purpose, understand the vision and walk in it!
